Hey love,
I can’t believe I’m finally writing this — my first newsletter is officially here, and honestly, I’m so emotional (in the best way). This has been a long time coming, and the fact that you’re here, reading this? It means the world. 🤍
But before we go any further — let’s have a little backstory moment, because I know how this goes. You’re about to commit to someone’s newsletter, and you need the real tea before we become inbox besties. And I respect that. So here it is:
I’m Mel — coach, podcaster, book lover, and woman in the middle of some serious life edits. At 42, I made one of the biggest moves of my life: I left my home of 13 years in Trinidad and moved back to Canada. It wasn’t just a relocation — it was a declaration. I’m choosing me. I’m choosing purpose. And I’m finally giving my coaching business the energy and heart it deserves.
Why? Because women like us — navigating midlife solo — deserve more. More support. More softness. More truth. And definitely more joy.
I’ve spent years coaching, growing, and honestly? Playing small. But not anymore. It hit me hard one day: we might have more years behind us than ahead, so what are we really waiting for?
This space — The Solo Edit — is where I’m sharing the journey:
✨ The unfiltered truth
📚 The mindset shifts and faith that keep me grounded
🪞 The solo living lessons (the real ones, not the Instagram ones)
❤️🔥 And everything I’ve learned (and am still learning) about starting again at any age
So if you’re in a season of change — or just need someone to remind you it’s okay to do life differently — you’ve found your people.
We don’t do “alone” here.
We do real. We do faith. We do growth. Together.
Let’s turn the page,
Mel
